The entire centre of Ludlow is listed Grade II (a bit too late for the castle, which is a ruin), and the racetrack brings people from far and wide. Another strong draw is the plethora of gourmet restaurants, some of them Michelin-starred. In Lower Broad Street, Sally and Philip Maile have taken over the running of Bromley Court, a superb bed-and-breakfast establishment, three tiny Tudor cottages creating three suites, each on two levels and with a well-equipped breakfast bar.
