Lionhead Rabbits (long haired standard sized rabbit)
One of the newer domestic breeds of rabbit recognised in the UK since 2002
The Lionhead rabbit has particularly long fur around the face, reminiscent of a lion’s mane, hence the name.
Characteristically the Lionhead also has a partly rounded head and is reasonably small in size, usually between 2.5 and 3.5 pounds (1.1 kg and 1.6 kgs).
The Lionhead also tends to have slightly shorter, thicker ears than most breeds.
They are available in a variety of colours such as white (with red or blue eyes), fawn, orange and black.
