Your dog and…..Nutrition – dry or wet food?

A healthy balanced diet is just as important to you as it is for your dog! There is a wide range of dog foods available in the shops and choosing the right one for your dog can be daunting.

Dry food or soft wet food?

Dry food is great for preventing the build up of tartar, which can cause tooth decay and gum disease. Dry food can be harder for smaller dogs to eat. Fussy eaters may well turn their nose up at dry foods! Soft wet is easily digestible. It does not give the teeth a workout, so more emphasis will be placed on the owner to provide dental care. Soft wet food tends to smell, especially if left available during the day.
