The golden retriever is the ultimate family dog. It is laid back, gentle and usually good with children. They are intelligent and easy to train.
The breed requires plenty of exercise. They do have healthy appetites and are prone to weight problems. Feeding portions must be monitored to prevent obesity.

The Golden Retriever comes in two colours variations, cream and golden. Their coats do need regular grooming sessions.
