The Breed
The English Springer Spaniel is an intelligent, energetic dog. Its size makes it an ideal family dog although serious thought must be given to its exercise requirements. The Springer Spaniel needs constant physical and mental stimulation to maintain good health. It has incredible stamina and possesses tremendous athletic prowess.
It tends to be a friendly and well balanced dog, but can be a little excitable and hyperactive if not exercised enough.
Varieties
The two colour variations are liver and white and black and white.
Grooming
The Springer Spaniel also needs regular grooming and brushing. The coat can easily become matted with the Spaniels fondness for water and foraging in hedgerows.
