The Breed
The English Pointer is an elegant and athletic dog. It is intelligent and easy to train. It is also gentle and placid making it a good family pet. The pointer can also be sensitive and has a tendency to take life a little too seriously.
Exercise and Entertainment
The pointer does require a lot of exercise to maintain good physical and mental health. Serious thought should be given to ensure adequate exercise before taking on such a breed.
Grooming
The pointer requires very little grooming. However, they do tend to shed short hairs throughout the year.
Varieties
There are four colour variations- liver and white, lemon and white, black and white and orange and white.
