The Breed
The Cesky Terrier is a relatively modern breed coming from the Czech Republic in May 1989. It is still quite rare in the UK, with approximately 450 in the country. The breed’s name is pronounced CHESS-KEY, meaning Czech. The breed is intelligent, easy to train and not aggressive to other dogs. It does need plenty of grooming to maintain its shiny, glossy coat. Coat colours vary from tawny to blue-grey.
