Due to the popularity of the breed, it has been subjected to intensive in-breeding. This has resulted in the development of serious heart problems in the breed. Varieties The Cavalier comes in four colour variations Blenheim (red and white), ruby, black and tan and tri-colour (red, black and white). The Cavalier requires regular grooming, especially ears to maintain good condition.
